Climate Ready Gwent Carbon Literacy
Carbon Literacy is:
“An awareness of the carbon dioxide costs and impacts of everyday activities and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions on an individual, community and organisational basis.”
Natural Resources Wales have funded the development of a Carbon Literacy Course for all public bodies in the five local authority areas of Gwent.
The course will be delivered through a mixture of self-directed learning, webinar preparation and tutor-led webinars.
On the following pages you will find all the resources required for the self-study and resources relevant for each webinar.
In the tutor-led webinars, you will work with colleagues to identify and analyse the actions that public bodies, businesses and individuals can take in order to avoid the worst impacts of climate change and set us on a path towards a more sustainable future.
You will have received details of the dates of the webinars.
Your tutors will refer to resources contained within this online resource and ask you to use them to prepare for future webinars.
It is necessary for you to complete the relevant modules as well as the webinars in order to achieve your Carbon Literacy certificate.
